Fees

How trading fees work on Teleport.spot

Every token on Teleport.spot lives through two phases, and each phase has its own fee. While a token is still on its bonding curve, trades are priced by the curve itself. Once it fills the curve and graduates into its automated market maker (AMM) pool, trades are priced by the pool. The fee is always taken from the trade in the pair's quote asset — SOL for SOL pairs, USDC for USDC pairs — and the percentages below are identical for both.

A fee splits into at most two parts: a creator fee that goes to the wallet that launched the token, and a protocol fee that keeps the platform running. We do not charge a separate liquidity-provider fee — liquidity is seeded and locked automatically at graduation, so there is no LP cut to pass on.

Bonding curve (before graduation)

During the launch phase the fee is flat. It does not change with size, market cap, or how close the token is to graduating — every buy and every sell pays the same rate.

AMM (after graduation)

Once a token graduates, the creator fee starts at 1.00% and eases down as the token's market cap grows, settling toward a 0.20% floor at the very top of the range. The protocol fee stays flat at 0.20% the whole way. In practice a graduated token trades at 1.00% + 0.20% for the entire early and mid part of its life; the taper only becomes meaningful at extreme valuations.

The taper is continuous, not stepped — the creator rate slides smoothly with market cap rather than jumping at a boundary. The final row shows the direction it moves as a token climbs into the billions.

Cashback tokens

Some tokens launch with cashback turned on. On those, a trader's share of the creator fee is routed back to that same trader's rebate vault instead of to the creator, and can be claimed later. The headline rates above don't change — cashback only changes where the creator portion lands.

USDC pairs

Tokens can be quoted in USDC instead of SOL. The fee schedule is exactly the same — the only difference is that the creator and protocol fees are collected in USDC rather than SOL.
